Talk Of War
Any of you happening to be in Brighton, UK, on 31st of this month, are invited to come along to the latest meeting of Cartoon County, to see Sean Duffield talk about the anti-war anthology he's put together, ' War - The Human Cost '. This 260-page collection of sequential art from some terrific creators is just about to see publication. You can hear all about it upstairs at The Cricketers, Black Lion St, Brighton, at 7pm, on Monday 31st Jan. For some more detail on the book go to http://www.indiegogo.com/WAR-The-Human-Cost-Book-CD-Project.
And more from me shortly : )

It's A Mystery
Hi, there. Hope 2011 is turning into what you want it to be. For myself, I have to say I am terrible at making New Year's Resolutions ( if you have that tradition in your part of the world ) and keeping them. Well, I should say, I'm not terrible at making them - terrible at keeping them. And none of mine are about breaking bad habits ( cos I really haven't got any I'd describe as bad... ). Mine are always about progressing in life. Moving on. Moving house. That stuff. I hope I can change this bad habit of not sticking to New Year's Resolutions this year - a New Year's Resolution to stick to New Year's Resolutions is obviously what I need - but I guess we'll see...
Apart from that confession, my first post this year concerns the the last work I did for last year - the House of Mystery 33 insert. For some reason only known to themselves, the reproduction department of DC Comics failed to prepare that story I worked on for print properly, so, on my Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/album.php?fbid=481184685869&id=694430869&aid=268779#!/profile.php?id=694430869 - I've posted all the pages I did in their original art form so that anyone interested can see them properly, though imperfectly, in the way that they should have been printed. Get the issue if you'd like to read the great script that I worked from in producing the work, because what I've posted are un-lettered pages.
More from me shortly. And, if you've made any New Year's Resolutions, you just make sure you stick to them... : )
